The topics of society, humanity, freedom, peace, control are just a few of the concepts that's widely incorporated into this novel.
This novel gives you a possible glimpse at a future: A future with no wars, no disease, no decay, no pain, and little (to no) suffering.
Of course these things come at a cost: loss of freedom, choice, knowledge about the truth, etc...
It is very philosophical, in the sense of what can be justified and not by the actions done by the fictional government (The World State); it also has sociological, psychological, and perhaps emotional issues translated into the story as well.
This book could be a bit challenging, and perhaps a second read is essential. I know that I will give it a second read in the future.
This version of the book also contains the "Brave New World Revisited" by Aldoux Huxley. His emphasis on the problems of over-population, freedom, and education are quite mind opening for those whom have not thought much about how our present (as a society) is dictating our possible future.
This book is too intellectually detailed for me to attempt to write a review without spoiling anything from the book. The wise would give this book a chance.
