  Va bene, lo stile del ragazzino sta migliorando, non più puerile come il primo Eragon e nemmeno incerto come Eldest, ora sa il fatto suo, forte di milioni di libri venduti e di una certa crescita stilistica.
  Ma gli americani la devono smettere. È pur vero che sono pagati a pagina, ma non possono ogni volta tirare fuori una mattonazza e pretendere che non ci si annoi in alcuni passaggi. E Paolini ha pure l'ardire di scrivere nelle note conclusive che la trilogia dell'Eredità è diventata ciclo per via delle molte cose che ha da dire.
  Brisingr poteva benissimo fare a meno di 300-400 pagine, ci sono parti veramente inutili che nulla hanno a che vedere con la storia o che perlomeno potevano essere un po' meno tirate per le lunghe. Non mi capita spesso di saltare intere pagine per noia, ma qui è capitato spesso, in certi punti sembra proprio minestra annacquata. Qualcuno si è veramente sciroppato tutta la parte in cui Eragon forgia la spada? Oppure la pallosa parte in cui deve essere eletto il re dei Nani?
  È un vero peccato, perché la storia in se stessa non è male, anche se ci sono dei punti oscuri, inspiegabili, che Paolini spero dipanerà nel quarto volume, che, ahimé, mi toccherà leggere ormai. Mi domando perché, ad esempio, il feroce Galbatorix (che sembra un incrocio tra un Gallo e una famosa marca di formaggini), visto che è così potete non abbia fatto del giovane Cavaliere dei Draghi Eragon un sol boccone, anche perché in questo terzo libro gli sta rompendo le uova (di Drago) nel paniere.
  A ogni modo, come già detto in precedenza, alcune cose non sono da buttare, la storia, là dov'è fluida e articolata, è godibile e si lascia leggere. Un quadrilogia però che, a mio parere, ci sarebbe stata elegantemente in uno solo di questi pesanti tomi, ma si sa, i libri si devono vendere, l'economia deve marciare.
  Un consiglio: se proprio volete leggere la saga, aspettate che esca in edizione economica.

  This is the third of three books that tell a story about a knight of dragon.
  I started and finished it in two days ... It’s absolutely perfect.
  I think that this is the best of the trilogy even if the author must finish the story in a fourth book and I hope that he publishes it as soon as possible. Much of the unclear parts of the previous book have been clarified and the abstract parts, that he left to the interpretation of the reader in the first two books, are now perfectly obvious.
  The scenes of this book follow one another with a particular simplicity that show the great ability of the writer, although he is very young.
  The features of characters are better define and more “human”. The Elf, a friend of Eragon, has been “humanized”, when, during the story, she shows his affect toward the young knight of dragons.
  Eragon himself finally makes him more human, autonomous and independent, proving to be a right knight of dragons.
  I look forward to the last chapter of this wonderful cycle of “inheritance”.
  A fantasy written with real skill of the author.
