  Conoscevo già la storia, ma é stata comunque una piacevole lettura. Una trama non troppo articolata, né particolarmente prolissa, ma in cui si vede già lo stile di King: i pensieri tra parentisi, tanto per citare un esempio che ho riscontrato spesso nei suoi romanzi, o l'anticipazione di quanto succ ...   Conoscevo già la storia, ma é stata comunque una piacevole lettura. Una trama non troppo articolata, né particolarmente prolissa, ma in cui si vede già lo stile di King: i pensieri tra parentisi, tanto per citare un esempio che ho riscontrato spesso nei suoi romanzi, o l'anticipazione di quanto succederà successivamente in un'unica frase lapidaria, che spessissimo mi lascia lì a riflettere qualche secondo e mi costringe sempre a rileggerla.

  LO sguardo di satana....

  Un capolavoro.Questo è lo Stephen King che mi piace e che vorrei sempre leggere..Leggendo questo libro ci si domanda chi, tra carrie e sua madre abbia davvero lo sguardo di Satana:sarà la ragazzina con un dono troppo grande per la sua età o sarà la madre, bigotta credente che si frusta e si infligge ...   Un capolavoro.Questo è lo Stephen King che mi piace e che vorrei sempre leggere..Leggendo questo libro ci si domanda chi, tra carrie e sua madre abbia davvero lo sguardo di Satana:sarà la ragazzina con un dono troppo grande per la sua età o sarà la madre, bigotta credente che si frusta e si infligge punizioni davanti agli occhi della figlioletta??La religione. e ancor di più il fanatismo religioso purificano la persona o la portano a distruggere se stessa e chi gli sta intorno?Un libro che riesce davvero a far riflettere....

But anyway I started reading the book on Sat 29 Nov and I haven't been able to put it down. So this is my first book and by this time next year I hope more than 50 books will have been read.

• Too little depth for my taste. I personally think Stephen King doesn't describe location enough but can be very strong on character and dialogue. I found this too weak to continue reading though, or maybe it's just that I simply couldn't identify with anyone at all in the story.
