What can I say... I think there is one word only to define this book and is a "heavy" one: MASTERPIECE!!!
I don't even dare to get deep into review as this novel is n.1 in all aspects: the plot is very original, the writing precious as usual, the action always present regardless the huge lenght, well known stereotypes (the holocaust, the deranged Secret Servicies, the racial issues, etc.) are rendered as "fresh and alive" as they were truly never heard before, and the characters descriptions... OMG that is possibily one of the best I read ever!!! Melanie in particular is superbly depicted.
This is real high art, Simmons is a genius.
