  • Not my most favorite in the Pendergast series. Hate how much some of the regular characters are made to suffer.

  • The story was a bit long and incredulous. And i was really surprised that the authors made a credible explanation at the end to render the plot realistic and believable.

Preston and Child finally return to what they do the best - rather than weaken and force the plot to accommodate certain characters, build an ingenious story line, and let the characters follow. The ending seemed a bit haste and predictable, but it still took great force to limit myself to 10 chapters a day to avoid bloodshot eyes. Very entertaining read!

  • Far from the magical atmosphere of the New York Museum of Natural History, I found the story a little less fascinating, but, on the whole, it's a good novel, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child are a quality guarantee, even when they are not at the best.
