  I simply adore Harry Dresden. And this novel looks like the end of an era (which, lucky for us, is not, as there's a new book coming up, yay!), and made me cry and be scared and laugh and..cry again with a million emotions.
  Popular literature? Yes.. Wor4th reading? Ab-so-lu-te-ly.

  Brilliant - The Dresden Files and excellent, but the recent ones (after Dead Beat) haven't been quite up to the same standard as the earlier ones. This is back up there with the best. So good that I'm going to be hugely disappointed by the next book I read.

  as the Harry Dresden books have been lately, lots of rushing around to fights and not as much plot; but this one adds in more story line and a nice cliff hanger.
