  • This is a true story about a young girl who lives in China and her family hates her apart from her Aunt Baba. It is a sad story but it is really gripping and I loved it.

  • I loved this book..it was so sad and very cruel how everyone in her treated especially her step-mom. I mean getting blamed for something thats completely not her fault? Im glad she has had a better future then her childhood.

  • Adeline must actually be very proud of her upbringing experience and kept on writing about it.
    I don't find any difference in content between this book and her other book "falling leaves"
