  I've been hearing about these books for a while, and finally decided to give one of them a try. I expected a rather silly, easy read about a girl who can't control her spending... and that's close to what I got. I didn't realize that the story takes place in the UK, which did actually add something to it for me - I enjoyed all the "Britishisms". My major gripe, and the reason for my "so-so" rating is the character's need to lie. She lies to cover up her problem, then tells bigger lies to cover up her smaller ones. It just made it difficult for me "like" her. I enjoyed the ending better than the beginning, but I'm not going to be in any hurry to continue the series.

  This wasn't one of my favorite books ever, but it was kind of fun. It was a super fast easy read. I plan on reading the rest of the series now.
