    I intensely dislike Procopius, the narrating voice, I hate Antonina and the Imperial couple. My sympathy goes all to noble, brave, intelligent, misunderstood and ill-recompensed Belisarius.     I intensely dislike Procopius, the narrating voice, I hate Antonina and the Imperial couple. My sympathy goes all to noble, brave, intelligent, misunderstood and ill-recompensed Belisarius. And since this must have been what Graves wanted, I must say he succeed admirably. The language reads a little like a Greek-to-English version at School, but having read a few of Graves' academic works, I'm sure this is intended too.
