I always like an intelligent sci-fi mystery. But I kept being brought up short by characters thinking and behaving in unconvincing (and sometimes out-of-character) ways, which had a remarkable cooling effect on my interest in reading future books for fear they'll just get more and more so.

Good but not that good
This is a long waiting follow-on book on Vorkosigan Saga. Bujord still shows her superb story-telling and writing skill. Unfortunately, the plot does not have a lot of surprises and the supporting characters lack the depth. I would rate it 3.5 stars if there is such a choice.
