I've read this books many times, both in Chinese and English version. I just loved it. I lent my book to a friend and she never returned it to me, so I would buy it whenever I saw it.
I love the letter form of this book and the cute little drawings. And of course, the romance in it.

I think most of us watched the Japanese animation 長腿叔叔. This is the first time i read the English novel version. Actually this book is quite difficult to understand, not the contents, but the sentences structure and the vocab. But i still enjoy it very much. This is a Girls-must-read-book.

  • Judie Abbott has been my best childhood friend. And this is her story, a sort of modern funny version of Cinderella, narrated in the form of interesting and amazing letters. The ending is cheerful and the plot is suspenseful. Just relax and enjoy with Judie, my friend.

  • What a classic you shouldn't miss.

By the way, the novel was dramatized by FujiTV (私のあしながおじさん, 1990) which was also wonderful.
