    • Started off great and had a lot of potential. I thought I might have found a better and more adult version of Twilight. Ended too obviously a "fang bangers" wet dream. After reading I realized it would have been more appropriately placed in the romance section of the store.

    • Great Southern Vamps!
    • I have watched a few of the series episodes based on these books and it just goes to show what a movie/episodic series can do to a good book. I love the book and the Southern wackiness that Harris embeds into her characters. Just a rollicking good read - especially here at Halloween;)

    • First in the series - Southern Vampire Mysteries
    • Not bad - a little bit of a slow start, but it hooked me a few chapters in. Psychic waitress dates vampire. Vampires are now a "grudgingly" accepted part of society, thanks to synthetic blood. Different, but good. A little corny, more "cute" than scary.

    • An unconventional take on the vampire story. Quick read, good story, full of laughs alongside the mystery.

Maybe having a vampire for a boyfriend isn't such a bright idea.

A fun, fast, funny, and wonderfully intriguing blend of vampire and mystery that's hard to put down, and should not be missed. (Susan Sizemore)
