I tossed them onto the back porch to wash in the morning, trying not to gape at my guest, who was now clad in underwear that was definitely over-the-top, a bright red bikini style whose stretchy quality was definitely being tested. Okay, another big surprise. I'd seen Eric's underwear only once before -- which was once more than I ought to have -- and he'd been a silk boxers guy. Did men change styles like that?

We can know each other's bodies in every way, night after night. I could love you." His nostrils flared, and he looked suddenly proud. "I could work. You would not be poor. I would help you."

  "Sounds like a marriage," I said, trying to lighten the atmosphere. But my voice was too shaky.

  Once again better than any previous books! I really liked this book, Harris really knows how to get you to warm to a character and how to get you to dislike one. Eric, who when we first met I hated, became the most loveable vampire in the series (except for Bubba maybe!) in this book and Bill, who we loved in the beginning, became irritating in club dead so she just got rid of him for the fourth book. Great idea. Now I'm looking forward to seeing him in the fifth installment, absence does make the heart grow fonder after all!

  Sookie doesn't get beaten up in this book thank God, that was the only detail I found was getting a tad repetitive. Im aching for more!

  So the plot has been better in the series: for instance, the bad guys are kinda blurry in this book( maybe that's because I read it before watching the TV show season) and you actually 'see' them only twice. On the other hand it is worth reading: Bill leaves for Peru at the beginning so we apparently see less of that hypocrite as we go on and that's fine by me. And, I have to confess, this is the first time I got actually sexually aroused by reading a book, I won't tell you wich part though it's easy to guess ;D
