Another great addition to the Sookie Stackhouse Series! Can't believe I've only four more books left to read I'll have to drag them out for as long as possible!
So Sookie has a new boyfriend in the shape of a Bengal tiger, oh how I love the paranormal world!! Quinn was impressive from a purely physical point of view, Harris description was so vivid I can see Quinn quite clearly in my minds eye and it's all good. Other than his impressive physical attributes, was it just me or was he slightly boring? I know, how can a were-tiger be boring right? I don't know but Eric is so much more exciting I think. And much to my surprise I started to like Bill all over again in this book, think I felt sorry for him......Continua
I'm so glad the Sookie Stackhouse series had improved with this book since Dead As a Doornail -a complete disappointment to me-.
A totally entertaining and not predictable reading in any sense. The story goes by in a very good rhythm. As a whole, the best from this book -actually this may not be nice for some readers- is that the 80% of the characters or so are new. Also, this had a very good ending.
'Definitely Dead' must be the best book right after the first, second and fourth books respectively. I seem to finish this series sooner than I thought I would....Continua
I was expecting more mystery but it was in the beginning of the book when I imagined the end and guess...I guessed correctly!!
I like so much every book of Sookie but this one is the worst that I read.
I missed Eric in this book because he only appeared few times and it was not exciting. Besides Bill's story is revealed and Sookie went crazy :-S.
On the other hand, I like Amelia, the new character and I hope to read about her the next books :-)
Sookie goes to New Orleans to get what her cousin Hadley left her after she died for the second time (by the way, Sookie didn't even know Hadley was a vampire in the first place)...and sure enough she didn't even expect to be the victim of the Pelts family (f*cking Debbie, she keeps ruining Sookie's life even after being shot dead) and Peter Threadgille's flunkeys...no matter what Sookie always manages to save her own ass and now she's with a wonderful were-tiger, namely John Quinn and she cuts Bill off from her life, this time I hope for good!:P...Continua
I think this marks the end of my experience with the Sookie Stackhouse series. If I was disappointed with Dead as a Doornail, I am positively annoyed with Definitely Dead. This little book literally took me an entire month to read because I could only handle little spurts of it before my mind would wander, my eyelids would droop and I would completely loose interest. Hear me when I say that nothing, absolutely nothing exciting happens in this book. It's about 20 pages of plot and 300 pages of filler. In place of character development, Harris adds about 50 more forgettable characters to the scene that, I repeat, add NOTHING to the story and serve only to make a bland story read like a phone book. Ugh...pass.....Continua
