'Walden' in the US south west
I enjoyed this text. Though a little dated, the writing is not at all dissimilar to Thoreau's 19th century tome 'Walden', where he ponders on nature, man's place in the universe etc etc - this just has more snakes and lizards.

I enjoyed this text. Though a little dated, the writing is not at all dissimilar to Thoreau's 19th century tome 'Walden', where he ponders on nature, man's place in the universe etc etc - this just has more snakes and lizards.
Evocative writing and a real sense of place make this a rewarding and thought provoking read. And now I know where Moab is :)
