I am a buddhist, but definitely not a fan of DLLM.

It is not just because he is a political monk. It is not just because all those previous DLLM had horrible record in exploiting, torturing their Tibetan people. It is because of the fact that DLLM's teaching is quite far from the original teaching to the Buddha.

Tibetan "Buddhism" was only created 1000 years after Buddha passed away. In this long history, what the Buddha taught was mis-recorded, mis-understood, and mixed with other religion. At Buddha's time, a monk was only allowed to possess a bowl, three clothes and maybe a walking stick. But DLLM has a palace...

Material possession is just a small thing compared with the confusion on Buddha's teaching. DLLM is talking about "Justified Anger", "Bad compassion", etc in this book. "Justified Anger"? "Good Anger"?????

Gee.... It is really sad to see a person who practice Buddhism for the whole life cannot distinguish such a basic and simple teaching of Buddha.

Buddha said, there is no "right anger". Anger is anger, no matter what the cause (you think) is. Why anger can only be bad? Well, think about that, when the anger arise, who is the first one who suffers?? Is it the person you are angry at?? Come on, you, yourself is the first one who suffer from the anger. It is YOU who will have high blood pressure, bitterness, cannot sleep at night, etc. So, how come there is any "GOOD" anger??

It was mentioned like Martin Luther King's "good" anger... Hm... let's don't confuse on the emotions. One can still act with a lot of bravery and justice like Martin Luther King did, without a trace of anger!!

Why?? Since... we are all human... and we all suffer!

When the White oppress Black people, it looks like the White enjoyed while Black suffer.... WRONG... both the White and Black suffer! With so much hatred, dispise in the heart, White suffer from the toxicity of their own negative emotions! The oppressing White is actually suffering more, since they are doing the wrong thing, and the work of kamma means that one day they need to repay it.

It is truly sad that DLLM cannot distiguish such a basic thing... it is so sad that even I am very interested on what the scientists said about emotions.... I have to put down this book and won't finish it.
