Dragons of Spring Dawning, the concluding episode in the ever-popular Chronicles Trilogy, once again takes listeners on a fantastical journey to Krynn, where friendships are made and lost and destinies finally realized.

Armed at last with the powerful dragonlances, the Companions of the Lance lead their people in a final desperate battle against the destructive dragons. Knight and barbarian, warrior and half-eft, dwarf and kender and dark-souled mage -- none has reckoned how high the price of victory -- or even defeat -- might be. One by one, they must each overcome personal doubts and conflicts -- their only hope if they are to stop the return of the five-headed dragon goddess, Takhisis. Listen and discover how truth and virtue at last triumph over the deadly darkness of an all-consuming evil in this dramatic conclusion to one of fantasy's most legendary tales.

Stay far away from this book

Horribly constructed prose, driven by an endless stream of cliches, and lacking any foundation in plot. I remember seeing this book on the shelf at the bookstore that I frequented as a teenager. The cover intrigued me enough to buy it and thus started my love of fantasy fiction. This book ended up sparking my interest in writing my own fantasy novels. I recently re-read the trilogy and found them a bit light and somewhat juvenile at times, (the authors seem to have a rather lame sense of humor) but certainly not the worst fantasy novels I have read.

I read this when I was teenager. I honestly remember little of this novel. I cared very little for Raistlin and Tanis' dilemma over choosing Kit or Laurana. It seemed an easy choice to me. I thought Tas was annoying and distracting to the storyline and Caramon's co-dependency on Raistlin was boring. I read for the character of Laurana and Silvara, the wild elf who was actually a silver dragon in disguise. The fact that the god paladine, acts like a bumbling wizard meddling in the human affairs is a ridiculous attempt at humor and fails miserably.
