Anna Petrescu is missing, presumed dead, after 9/11 and she uses her new status to escape from America, only to be pursued across the world from Toronto to London, to Hong Kong, Tokyo and Bucharest, but it is only when she returns to New York that the mystery unfolds. Why are so many people willing to risk their own lives and others' to own the Van Gogh Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear? Biographies Jeffrey Archer, whose bestselling novels span from Not a Penny More , Not a Penny Less to Kane and Abel and The Eleventh Commandment, has sold over 120 million books throughout the world. The author is married with two children.

  • there're a few chapters about 911 at the beginning which is quite attractive. however, this book is different from this author's other books. there are less characters in this book. so, the story is a bit flat.
