Di dolito la storia dello sterminio viene descritta con immagini di feroci nazisti e campi di concentramento, ma non viene approfondita la poderosa azione di manipolazione che permise a quegli orrori di realizzarsi.     bellissimo e inqiuetante. Di dolito la storia dello sterminio viene descritta con immagini di feroci nazisti e campi di concentramento, ma non viene approfondita la poderosa azione di manipolazione che permise a quegli orrori di realizzarsi. In questa distopia tutto si fonda su questo aspetto ma anche dopo che il disegno di Hitler si è compiuto la verità non si ferma e in questa storia non ci sono buoni e cattivi, non ci sono innocenti....bellissimo !

  • 4 stelle sono troppe, ma 3 sono poche

    L'ho letto in inglese, comprato su Amazon, perchè finchè potrò non regalerò i miei soldi alla Mondadori.

    I read it in English and bought it on Amazon since, as far as I can, I will not give my money to Mondadori.

  • Wider backdrop adds depth to the familiar twisting detective novel

    As is crucial with a detective novel, one has to warm to the the main protagonist and have lots of plot twists and turns. This book satisfies on both counts. The detective work isn't too brilliant to be implausable.

    As is crucial with a detective novel, one has to warm to the the main protagonist and have lots of plot twists and turns. This book satisfies on both counts. The detective work isn't too brilliant to be implausable.

    The setting , in a Germany that won the war, adds depth and places the novel in a wider historical perspective. A fascist state dominating Europe where the Holocaust remains undiscovered is one hell of a backdrop for the story.

  • you read it... you forget it.
    Good "on the road" book without pretences.
    The only interest lies in the "what would have happened if?" question... once you get the picture it becomes boring.
