Feel the FEAR and Do It ANYWAY!!!

I read many personal development books. Not many of them are as easy to read as this book. This book discusses one major problem in many people's life - FEAR and the solution to conquer it.

Why do people have fear? The answer from Susan is so simple! You fear because you think you can't handle the situation. Mind blowing, huh? The solution to conquer fear is even simpler. "All you have to do to diminish your fear is to develop more trust in your ability to handle whatever comes your way!"

It is more easy said then done. However, this book provides practical ways to follow. Reading this book is one of the way to conquer fear! Of course, reading without action and expecting different result is nothing but wishful thinking. So "Feel the fear, and do it anyway!"

  • If you know any book that analyse fear in depth, please let me know. Thanks!

The essence of the whole book is in its title: Feel the fear, and do it anyway.

This is a 2-part job, and the author mainly focus on the second part, "Do it any way". This is quite disappointing for me, since I think aware of the problem is half way of dealing with it. I am sure there are people ... (continue)

The essence of the whole book is in its title: Feel the fear, and do it anyway.

This is a 2-part job, and the author mainly focus on the second part, "Do it any way". This is quite disappointing for me, since I think aware of the problem is half way of dealing with it. I am sure there are people who feel the fear but freeze by the fear and cannot act on it. But, I suppose the majority of the population do not have a very concrete idea / feeling that we are actually afraid.

Fear is a very tricky emotion, since Fear has soooo many different names and face:
    - Anxiety (fear of uncertainty, danger or failure)
    - Depression (fear that I am not going to be happy forever)
    - Nervousness (a mild form of anxiety)
    - Tension

    etc, etc, etc

Too bad that this book does not dig deeper into Fear and analyse its different disguise.

If you know any book that analyse fear in depth, please let me know. Thanks!

  • Great, down to earth..the original "just do it" kinda book. Simple, but very well written and motivating. Impossible is NOTHING. Great read.
