Felix a bit of a disappointment!
Didn't enjoy this book so much as the previously read novels of George Eliot. Doesn't contain any really outstanding characters. Didn't enjoy this book so much as the previously read novels of George Eliot. Doesn't contain any really outstanding characters. The old dissenting minister is one of the best, and Esther is quite interesting. Felix, however, never seemed to grip me. As the story develops there are suggestions that he is going to open-up into someone great, but it never happens. A real pity!
