woodman's bookland 
I had hard time getting into it, but once i got past the first half I couldn't put it down.
It's very different from every other Diana Wynne Jones book I've read; it was very Gaiman-ish in some parts.
I'm not really sure about the ending though, it doesn't sound completely right somehow.
