And just as he’s thinking there’s more to her than meets the eye, she’s thinking that he’s not quite all he seemed.

This is a classic romantic comedy of errors told in alternating chapters by two fresh, funny new voices. Wendelin Van Draanen is at her best here with a knockout cast of quirky characters and a hilarious series of misunderstandings and missed opportunities.     I actually listened to this one. It was a great one to listen to. Chapters alternated between the perspectives of Julie and Bryce. It was a great "she said, he said" kind of book. I am amazed everytime I hear of situations where two people expereience the same thing, but have very different impressions of what "really" happened. I also liked that it started when they were in 2nd grade and continued through 8th grade.
