I think my favorite part of this book was when Joan, a functioning MPD (MPD = Multiple Personality Disorder), was sitting in class at Harvard taking notes with both hands. Two personalities where simultaneously taking different sets of notes. After she realised that people around her were watching her she decided that she would only bring one pen with her to class from now on so that wouldn't happen again.
This book is fascinating but I found that I needed silence around me while I absorbed the pages. If there where distractions in the room I couldn't focus.
