Super concise yet insightful reading on the Frankfurt School. Not so sympathetic to Adorno, but the author gives a fair account towards Adorno's philosophy. A good overview on the theories of the Frankfurt School anyway.
Personally I was a disciple of the Frankfurt School. Still very much in the vein of critical theory so I find it a little bit hard for me to swallow the blow. But this introductory book is good. Fair. And it points out what is wrong in the Frankfurt School - too descriptive, shaky foundation, too pessimistic (skeptical) which fails to be the moral compass.
