After the natural disaster of Hurricane Katrina and the man-made horror of the explosion at the vampire summit, Sookie Stackhouse is safe but dazed, yearning for things to get back to normal. But her boyfriend, Quinn, is among the missing. And things are changing, whether the Weres and vamps in her corner of Louisiana like it or not. In the ensuing battles, Sookie faces danger, death...and, once more, betrayed by someone she loves. And when the fur has finished flying and the cold blood has ceased flowing, her world will forever be altered...

  • not her best book of the series...

I didn't exactly LIKE it, even if of course just being written by Charlaine Harris and being a Sookie Stackhouse story I enjoyed reading it...I don't know, I think I kinda expected a little more romance! And I also found the story a bit confusing...too much happens and Harris does'nt explain it as well as she could have...hoping next one will be better!

Highly recreational and extremely easy to read (listen) for non- native English speakers. You will smile a lot at the stupidity of Sookie and to all hers how gorgeous he is!!! I listened to the audio books and enjoyed noticing the differences from the TV series. Certainly it is not Dostoyevsky, but you do not expect it to be. ;0)

  • This one seemed a little lacking compared to the others but that being said, this one tied a ton of loose ends together and set up alot of potential stories in the future. Loved the ending!
