An engrossing read with unusual characters although sometimes I find the descriptive style overly long-winded. But it does build up the depth of the book as well as the suspense. Agree with the author though some times the treatment is over simplified. Not for people averse to blood and gore.

This book contains 6 short stories of murder. Definitely not for the faint-hearted because it's one of the most disturbing novels I have read. It actually makes you wonder whether the author is a killer himself. The book really gives you the creep because most characters lack empathy and are oddly attracted to death. I think the stories are great because there are lots of unexpected twists, and they stimulate you to think about death from various angles.
