    Gap Creek

A raw portrait of basic day-to-day survival in an age very far removed from our modern day conveniences.

I really liked this audiobook. It was about a couple who lived in a house on Gap Creek while they cared for an elderly man by the name of Mr. Pendergast (spelling?). He dies and they have no where to go so they stay and care for the home & property. They experience many hardships during their time living there and they are continually waiting for the heirs of the property to come and kick them out. I was pulled into the story from the beginning.

Made me appreciate the 21st century and realize what a truly lazy person I am. Just reading the blurb made me exhausted.
