"Abandoned" but kept at as a symbol that separates my generation and my children's. I didn't waste time reading the text (couldn't bear to even if I wanted very much to), but the wacky margin notes that predated the ubiquitous website side bars give one a good flavour of the 'listlessness that accom ...
