If you've read part 1-3, don't stop here

A few people warned me that God Emperor is the worst novel of the Dune series: slow, pretentious, severely lacking in action. So I was somewhat surprised to find that I actually enjoyed it much more than the previous two books.
The exploration of the character of Leto II turned out quite interesting and gave me some new insights into aspects of the earlier books. True, there's not much combat, sex or whatever you may define as 'action' but IMHO Dune was never really about that anyway.
