As good as The Silence of the Lamb with a touch of romanticism... A must, of course!

Unbelievable. I was already a fan of Thomas Harris's books, but this one - for once focused around Hannibal Lecter rather than using him as a minor character - completely blew me away.

Again, Hollywood ruins an excellent book by adapting it for the screen. Ignore the film and read the book.

The mention of the "mind castle" technique Lecter uses is excellent and the books that describe how to do it are well worth seeking out.
