Book Description
Harry Potter is lucky to reach the age of thirteen, since he has already survived the murderous attacks of the feared Dark Lord on more than one occasion. But his hopes for a quiet term concentrating on Quidditch are dashed when a maniacal mass-murderer escapes from Azkaban, pursued by the soul-sucking Dementors who guard the prison. It's assumed that Hogwarts is the safest place for Harry to be. But is it a coincidence that he can feel eyes watching him in the dark, and should he be taking Professor Trelawney's ghoulish predictions seriously?

This was probably my favorite of the series. It goes into the backstory and provides the greatest understanding of the world Harry Potter lives in.
Book 3
Ever since I started from the first Harry Potter book, J. K. Rowling's words drew me into the wizardry that she wrote. My favorite part of this book is when Harry finds out that Sirius Black is his godfather.
This has always been my favorite book of the series. There's so much mystery and so many different plot lines in this one, and you find out the most about Harry and his family.
If a real life school offers a compulsory subject with a teaching quality as bad as the "defense against dark art" offered by Hogwarts in the first three books, the school should obviously be in real trouble......
I listened to this one for the first time and love it. The narrator, Jim Dale, has improved since the first novel. I can't wait to listen to the next one.
