An interesting book about a teenager surviving a planecrash in the Canadian forest by a lake. This book is about survival in the wild.
I like this story because I got to think about if I was in this kind of situation what would I do? Also the funny thing is that earlier my mom kept nagging me to read it and I liked it after all! This book is short, interesting, and makes you feel like you're in his boots. It also makes you feel like when you're in the front of a fire or when you're fishing in the rain. It even teaches you skills about fire making, hunting, carving, and using the things around you that you might not know. Hatchet is only just an okay book. It was exciting at the start of the book, but started getting really boring after a few chapters, with the constant repertition of things already pointed out in clear detail.
Besides "The Little Prince", this is the book that i have reread the most often. I passed along a copy to my godson a few years ago too. Being in the woods, surviving on your own, learning to trust yourself, communing with animals, this is definitely one of my favorite books. I think i should read it again soon too....Continua
