Unfortunately House Harkonnen loses the strenght of House Atreides. The plot within plot scheme is lost, great characters (The Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Count Fenring, the twisted mentat Piter De Vries) are confined to few interesting pages. House Harkonnen looks like a forced situation, few ideas, bad ideas. I hope House Corrino (I will read it, since the world of Dune is still facinating) will do better.
