This is not my favorite kind of book, but when it's done right it can be an enjoyable change from what I usually read. Unfortunately, this one was not done right. The characters are ridiculous - completely fake, unlikable and unbelievable. The writing is so bad that I had to read some sentances over and over and then just finally realize they made no sense and move on. There are all these random little predictable subplots that are even more dull that the predictable main story line. It's all very much stuff that's been done before and stuff that's been done much better elsewhere.
