儘管書中許多內容我都滿有共鳴的,例如主題閱讀,以及各種類型的書的讀法。但我懷疑這本書對於剛開始接觸閱讀的人會有多大的幫助?以我來說,讀這本書真的頗耗費心神,而且有些段落真的太枯燥(我想「枯燥」是重要的真理的共同特徵);我認為有能力讀這本書的讀者,其基本條件是各類型的書(經典文學、科普書、專業書)最少都讀過二十本以上。

书中最后的内容我略过了,因为越到后面,作者所建议的方法就越难学习或实践,不过书中的很多建议还是值得仿效的。我在读书的时候总算重视内容简介和目录所写的东西,我会经常问自己作者到底想表达什么,他想解决什么问题......很可惜,在不少历史学术著作中,其内容未必是结构分明,我根本无法快速阅读。

如果一個作者的主旨沒有理論基礎,就可以看作是作者的個人意見。一個讀者如果不能區別出知識的理論說明,與個人觀點的闡述,那他就無法從閱讀中學到東西。
