  It's really more then just a book about writing. Ueland talks about how to be creative, imaginative and free in all aspects of life. For her it is writing. For others it is painting, music, acting... art.

  I bought this book on a recommendation by Garr Reynolds. I have mixed feelings about it. I think it is because the thoughts are so different from my own. Her approach is something that I don't have or haven't realized in myself. There are a lot of parts I would quibble over but there are also a lot of quotable gems. I plan to go back over the book and mine them.
