nice drawings and cutaways, but only minimal data and sometimes confusing decisions (cutway for one mark of the airplane and specification for another mark).
after a second reading, i think an interesting feature of this book is that it presents aircraft in a sort of 'date of conception' order, so you can see an idea appear on the stage even if the airplane didn't get into service right away, and then it becomes widely used in following aircrafts.
one weird thing is that there are some 'useless' aircrafts, like the pre-wwii french ones, or italian byplanes (and just a quick touch on the 'real' monoplanes'.
notes about the airplanes are sketchy, so don't expect much in terms of development, career and usage.
one sad thing is that the cutaway are big, so they always end up being 'cut' among pages .. no fix for this....Continua
