On Fearfully and Wonderfully Made...
Every heartbeat, every breath, every blink is sustained by God. Our body is a wonderful and complicated machine, which no other hands could have made it other than that of God's.
Even though I have studied human anatomy during my undergrad when I was taking biology major, I still found the descriptions of organ functions in this book inspiring, because the authors have added one element which is absent from my textbook - the creativity of God.
God is there - in your bones, in your blood, in your skin, in your cells, in your every movement. How do nerve cells know they should relax messages to and from the brain? How do skin cell detect pressure, touch and pain?
God has prepared in us white blood cells to fight against invaders such as harmful bacteria. He has given us pain as warning to any incoming dangers.
Take a look at how the body works - it's just simply amazing!

However, many times we are living in isolation, not physical isolation for we get in touch with each other everyday, but psychological isolation, where we close our ears to avoid hearding others' cries of pain, shut our eyes to the suffferings around us. It's like keeping on with walking even though an ankle is severely sprained.
There's no suffering that is deserved to be ignored, no pain which is negligible. Open our eyes and ears, observe and listen, there are a lot of people in this world who need our help.
When we help, we are doing it to God, who once was a human like you and I....Continua
