Funny, but flawed.
The first part of the book I really liked, a recognizable character and funny writing. The second part was not as good: an uninteresting love interest, combined with an uninteresting journey.
The ending was unsatisfying. A change in character that seemed to fall out of the sky and some political and philosofical rambling.

I loved the narrator. The narrator was unique, and funny. The writing was superb. But.. I didn't really care for the protagonist. A book I won't remember, or recommend .. . .
Delightful and interesting, a book to be read obviously in english. Kunkel excellently portraits a way of feeling and behaviour common in our lazy epoch. [to be continued]
