  I love this book! It's a tale of a city told in a very melancholic fashion (or the city can only be understood through its melancholic beauty?) Somehow, the author's mourn of an era bygone reminded me of my very own city.

• Melancholy

  I could not read Orhan Pamuk's Istanbul because it was so drenched in melancholy. Nothing against the author. His writing style is gorgeous. This is a book that I will defnitely come back to when I will not be affected by sadness...
