Book Description
The hugely popular story of James and his journey to New York with the strangest group of insect friends. Great new Quentin Blake cover and new author biography. Roald Dahl, the best-loved of children's writers, was born in Wales of Norwegian parents. His books continue to be bestsellers, despite his death in 1990, and worldwide sales are over 100 million!

Aw this was just a lovely children's book. Its such a brilliant story its obvious why it was such a big hit with kids and remains a popular kids book to this day. Big huge insects as your friends, living in a giant peach, flying to America by way of seagulls! I love it so why wouldn't a child! I don't have kids yet but I know that when I do they will all be Roald Dahl lovers if I have anything to do with it!

Okay, I had seen the movie way before I knew the book existed, but then I read back in 2003 and I liked it, but on a whim I decided to read it again in one night, and I fell in love with it. I actually had this whole new appreciation for its comical quips.

I love Mr. Earthworm, he is so entertaining and I just love his character. Really all of them are wonderful, but he just stood out. Ms. Ladybug and Ms. Spider were also very high favorites.

The adventures of the peach and the marvelous things that James and his insect friends encounter are all made of the things children imagine in their dreams and fantasy games.

This book is a must read and I must have a copy.
