    Ho appena finito questo libro e ne sono entusiasta!!!! E pensare che l' ho iniziato solo perchè avendo letto " Il caso Jane Eire" mi sono sentita in dovere quasi di affrontare i personaggi incrociati là! Mi aspettavo il tipico romanzo ottocentesco, tutto abiti, lezioni morali ecc. Ammetto che l' aver letto "Cime tempestose" ( che non mi è piaciuto con i suoi fantasmi, l' atmosfera gotica proprio non è per me) ha giocato a suo sfavore. Ed invece ho trovato una Jane vivissima, con un carattere fortissimo, abituata a studiare gli altri fin da piccola per non essere da loro sopraffatta, che non teme di prendere decisioni e di pagarne le conseguenze in prima persona, che afferma sempre e comunque la sua dignità in quanto persona ma anche in quanto donna ( e donna in spirito e carne!). Insomma una protofemminista se mi si passa il termine... Intriganti i dialoghi con Rochester nell' ultima parte del libro, quando lui le chiede come ma soprattutto con CHI abbia trasorso il periodo in cui erano separati, e lei che lo fa cuocere afuoco lento...rispondendo ma mai del tutto...le donne in questo sono sempre state maestre!!!!
