John Dies at the End
intricate, humorous, is there more?
Got this from my brother, and as i have seen the trailers for the movie, was dying to read this. Overall not disappointed. The story is triply and oddball enough to satisfy both my sense of humor, and enjoyment of a good scifi time/space travel
novel. I am guessing (without research) having read the afterword that the novel is actually 3 separately penned stories that have been stitched together using an arc defined by the drug and the underlying threat of an otherwordly invasion. it works, and i am dying to see the movie, especially as its directed by the same guy who gave us Bubba Ho-Tep, one of my favorite movies. There is maybe, just maybe, a little repetition of some elements but that is a minor implant, against something imaginative and engaging.
