Book Description
Un'inaspettata apocalisse distrugge la razza umana e trasforma la terra in un pianeta morto. Sopravvivono quattro piccoli nuclei familiari, rinchiusi in minirifugi atomici nella città di San Francisco. I superstiti possono comunicare tra loro grazie a un trasmettitore satellitare. Improvvisamente gli occupanti di uno dei rifugi cominciano a sentire dei colpi battuti sulla porta, come se qualcuno volesse entrare, benché la telecamera che inquadra la superficie riveli chiaramente che nessuno si è avvicinato. Gli avvenimenti misteriosi si moltiplicano, finché un «coniglio» rosa penetra nel rifugio e compie un orrendo massacro. Gli altri membri del gruppo si rendono presto conto che il «coniglio» è solo all'inizio della sua missione di morte...
