  I waited impatiently for this book to come out after spending a delicious summer last year (or the summer before?) reading "les yeux jaunes du crocodile). I was dying to find out what happened to the good sister (Josephine) and the bad one (Iris), their mother, various children, love interests. I was surely not alone in wanting a sequel but I think the writer K Pancol was taken by surprise. In fact, she had pretty much cleaned up all the loose ends in the first book so had to scrape pretty far down the barrel to fill the 650 pages of the second one. A good read (perfect for vacation) in any case even if some of the story is a little far fetched (and I mean pretty far - spells causing depression in the hated rival and babies who are angels - to not spoil the plot..)
