Julien, the anti-hero
Julien Sorel is a liar, a hypocrite, a social climber, a dandy, is conceited, deceiving and basically a reptile. Exactly the kind of character a girl gets a crush on. Un-accurately depicted by the magnificent Gérard Philipe in a movie version where Sorel is just too NICE.
