I lost my interest in this book about half way through it. One of the reasons was that I was only interested in the part that she died and didn't care about other things happened in her life. Maybe I will try it again in the future.
I’m halfway the book now but I can’t believe I thought it wasn’t my genre reading the description.
The plot is magic, living all the lives of Ursula is incredible, as if you can read thousand book in one. The book is well written with the right amount of details, and usually I’m not a fan of long descriptive books.
I’m talking of this book to all my friends and family but it is too difficult to explain its beuty. So read it!
BTW I'm listening to the audiobook and even if I don't have the paper I have no problem in following the threads of flashbacks and flashforward.
The idea is good - the main character, Ursula, lives different possibilities on the wave of the what ifs, in a sort of Borgesian maze.
Truth be told, I don't think this plot can fece 600 pages of novel. I particularly disliked the first part, in which baby Ursula in just dying every three pages.
It gets more interesting as from page 200 (more or less), when Ursula is grown up and her lives are fully articulated.
