I guess some read this book for inspiration on how to start a very successful business for scratch or spend one's lifetime travelling. I read it just because I was curious to know how my favorite line of guidebooks came to happen.
My curiosity has been satisfied, but what I most enjoyed in the book are the family anectodes. I travelled a lot as a child with my parents - on a remarkably smaller scale than the Wheelers, of course, but more than any other child I knew then - so I kind of pictured myself with them on their family trips.
