A chilling example of what could happen were humanity left purely to its own defenses.
雖然題材不同,不過感覺有點像是日本漫畫《生存遊戲》。裡面隱喻的 東西很多,像是海螺啊、蒼蠅啊、甚至連名字都有它的意義。好看哩!
I did enjoy this book.
It's a good story, and one that seems to tell some truth. From several surprising, sad, happy, and funny events, this was an entertaining book.
Besides the entertainment value, it delves into human nature, showing us what the human mind is like.

Lord of the Flies effectively stirs up emotions, gives a great telling on a possible event, and is overall a good read.

I had a very interesting realization while reading this book in Mr. Gaydos' English class. I had read Lord of the Flies a couple years prior to this class, and I knew how it ended. We were having in class silent reading, and I was coming towards the death of Piggy, and i closed my book and put it down. I didn't want him to die. I looked around the room and wondered where other people were in the book. Was Piggy already dead? I thought about how if i just stop reading now Piggy will still be alive. I didn't finish the book that time. I wanted it to 'end' with Piggy still alive, at least in my book.
